Breanna's Portfolio

This is another picture that I took on the cold snowy day. I took this picture on my brothers play set where there were ice sickles hanging everywhere. The ice was starting to melt and I wanted to get a picture of the drip falling. This picture shows ruler of thirds, great depth of field, and stop action. Rule of thirds because the ice sickle is a third away from the sides. Great depth of field because the sickle is the one that is on focus and the blurred background behind it. And then stop action because i got the drip dripping.
I picked this picture to put into my portfolio because i thought i was a different picture. With the slanted angle, the q-tips in the jar going different directions, and then the clear jar as an artsy feeling to it. But this picture has the rule of thirds to it. The clear jar with the q-tips being in the middle it has at least a third on the top and bottom to center it.
In this photo i used my friend as a portrait. We were laughing and goofing all and i got a shot of her laughing. I thought this was a good picture because of the blank back-ground and her being the center of interest. With my friend being in the center this picture has rule of thirds and her angle being different its not a normal portrait.
With my house being in full excitement for the snow sticking to the ground, outside was dull and cold. Over night it had rained and ice sickles formed on the tree right outside of my house. I took the opportunity to take my camera and myself outside and take pictures. This picture shows the day very well. The dull lightening and color to the trees and the ice sickles hanging from the tree. Great depth of field takes place with the ice sickles being in focus and the mountain with fog on it in the back-ground.
Eye shadows can be used in so many different ways, one way to use them is just my simply taking a picture of them. I have many different colors and thought it would be cool if i put them in a row, angled it, and then used depth of field it would look cool. As saying this has depth of field, rule of thirds having the brown eye shadow being a third and the blurred part the other two thirds. Also this has leading lines, having your eye follow the other eye shadows.
This photo is an usual picture for any teenage girl to take. I like this photo because everything is very nice, clean, and simple. The eligancy of the picture stands out to me because its just so soft. I would say this picture has dramatic lightening with the sun coming in on the side and then rule of thirds.
With the iHome and the wrist watch together i thought it had a good meaning to it, that we have grown so much with the electronic devices. With just a simple watch at the side of the digital we always go for the fastest. But this picture shows dramatic lightening with the different color and the glares giving it an unique look
I am into girly stuff. Nail polish, make-up, clothes and just things girls that would use on a daily bases. My mom was painting her nail red and i thought it would be a good picture if i could get the nail polish dripping. Although that didn't happen the photo came out very good. With the great depth of field taking place and the brightness of the red this photo really, POPS!

View of Oven on Thanksgiving
This shot was taken
on Thanksgiving day while my grandma was cooking. This picture shows lines,
texture, movement, and balance. Movement, of course, is making your eyes lead
into the oven. Then balance is having an equal amount in the photo. I have a pan
on top, two things of rolls in the middle, and another pan on the bottom making
things even, or known as balance.
Carter Mountain Apples
I took a picture of
apples because when you think of Carters Mountain you think of the obvious,
apples, and other fruit they grow. Using Photoshop to blur, coverup, and
brighten the apples. The apples turned out looking delicous.. as usual. The
picture also has laughing. lines, movement, and harmony. My movement makes your
eyes explore more of the picture. And the harmony is all the apples on the
picture and the same shapes
